What "SI" means when you run a business with twelve people
You have heard the promises. A tool that writes your emails. A tool that summarises your meetings. They are useful, and none of them changed how your business runs, because your business does not run on emails and meetings. It runs on orders, jobs, clients, stock, invoices — and on the spreadsheet where all of that lives.
SI is what comes after AI. The difference is simple to say: a helper answers, SI does the work. You do not ask it how to build a system for your repair orders. You tell it you have repair orders, and the system exists.
What a business actually asks for
Nobody running twelve people wakes up wanting software. They want the technician to stop phoning the office to ask what is next. They want a client to see where their order is without writing in. They want to know, on Friday, which jobs lost money.
Every one of those is the same request underneath: put the facts of the business in one place, show each person the part that is theirs, and count what needs counting. For twenty years that request had two answers. Buy a product built for an average company in your trade and bend your work to fit it. Or pay someone to build yours, and wait.
What changes
With Quinta SI you describe the work in a sentence — "we take repair orders, assign them to technicians, use spare parts from stock, and bill the client" — and the system is built: the tables, the links between them, the forms your people fill in, a portal where each of them sees their own part.
Then comes the part that matters more. You look at it and say what is wrong. "A job can have two technicians." "Clients should see the photos but not the cost." Each sentence changes the system. You are not learning a tool. You are doing what you already do every day: explaining your business to someone who has to act on it.
What it does not do
It does not know your business better than you do. If you describe the work badly, you get a tidy system for the wrong work — which is why the second sentence matters more than the first. It does not decide for you who may see what; it asks. And it will not remove a table, a form or your records without showing you what it is about to do and waiting for your yes.
What it costs to find out
Nothing. An account starts with fourteen days at a paid plan's capacity, without a card, and continues free after that for one person. The honest test takes an hour: describe one real part of your work, put twenty real rows in, and hand the portal to the person who would use it. You will know by the end of the afternoon.
