What to ask Quinta SI in your first hour
You have signed up and there is one input on the screen. No menu, no template gallery, no tour. That is on purpose — SI is what comes after AI, and you tell it what you need rather than assemble it — but it does mean the first sentence is yours to write. Here is how to write it well.
Say the work, not the software
The first thing most people write is "a CRM". It is the least useful sentence available, because it names a category of product, not your business. You will get a tidy, average CRM and spend the hour reshaping it.
Write what happens in your working day instead: "clients call with a fault, we send someone out, they fix it or order a part, and we invoice at the end of the month". Every noun in that sentence becomes something in your system. Every verb becomes a step.
Name the people
The second sentence should say who is involved. "The office takes calls, engineers work from their phones, clients want to see the status." This is what turns a set of tables into something three kinds of people can use, each seeing their own part.
Put real data in early
Do not admire the example rows. Type in five real orders, or give it the spreadsheet you already have. Real data finds the problems in ten minutes that examples hide for a week: the client with two addresses, the job that spans three visits.
One change at a time
When something is wrong, say that one thing. "An order can have several visits." Look at the result, then say the next. A paragraph of nine changes gets you nine changes at once and no idea which of them you liked.
Ask to see before you ask for more
"Show me this month's orders by engineer" takes a moment and tells you whether the system is right. Asking for a dashboard, three reports and an email on every status change before you have looked at one order is how an hour disappears.
When to stop describing
When the person who will use it can do their job in it. Hand the portal to one engineer. Watch what they do in the first two minutes. What they cannot find is your next sentence.
The first hour, in order
- One sentence about the work.
- One sentence about the people.
- Five real rows, or your file.
- Fix what is wrong, one sentence each.
- Give it to one person who will use it.
